How to convert WAV to OGG
- Drop your WAV file on the box above, or tap it to choose. You can pick several files at once.
- OGG is already selected. Adjust the quality if you like (128 kbps is great for music, 64 kbps for voice).
- Tap the download button next to each file. Your OGG is saved to your Downloads folder.
OGG Opus files are about the size of an MP3 at better quality, and they are the standard for games, the web and Discord bots. This converter uses your browser’s built-in Opus encoder.

Frequently asked questions
Is this OGG Vorbis or OGG Opus?
Opus in an OGG file (.ogg). Opus is the newer codec and sounds better than Vorbis at the same size. Almost every app that plays OGG today plays Opus. If a program needs Vorbis specifically, it may not open these files.
Which browsers can create OGG?
Chrome, Edge and Firefox on computers and Android. Safari may not support it yet, especially on iPhone; the page tells you if your browser can't, and you can use WAV to MP3 instead.
What sample rate is the OGG?
Opus always works at 48 kHz, so the audio is converted to 48 kHz.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Choose or drop as many files as you like. They are converted one after another and each gets its own download button.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The conversion runs inside your browser on your own device. Your audio is never sent to a server, so it works with private and unreleased recordings.
Is it really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, no daily limit. Very long files (over about an hour) may be too big for a phone's memory.
