How to convert AIFF to WAV

  1. Drop your AIFF file on the box above, or tap it to choose. You can pick several files at once.
  2. WAV is already selected. Adjust the quality if you like (16-bit works everywhere, 24-bit for editing).
  3. Tap the download button next to each file. Your WAV is saved to your Downloads folder.

Logic Pro, GarageBand and many Mac sample packs use AIFF. Windows apps and some hardware prefer WAV. The audio is the same; only the file wrapper changes.

Frequently asked questions

Is AIFF to WAV lossless?

Yes. Uncompressed AIFF and WAV hold identical audio. Choose the same bit depth as the AIFF (often 24-bit) to keep every bit.

Which AIFF files work?

Standard uncompressed AIFF and AIFF-C (including little-endian 'sowt' and 32-bit float). Compressed AIFF-C variants are rare and not supported.

Can I convert several files at once?

Yes. Choose or drop as many files as you like. They are converted one after another and each gets its own download button.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser on your own device. Your audio is never sent to a server, so it works with private and unreleased recordings.

Is it really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, no daily limit. Very long files (over about an hour) may be too big for a phone's memory.
